Every fall, schools across California compete to reduce their electric bill and carbon footprint! High schools in PG&E, SCE, and SoCalGas territories are eligible to participate, host a launch lesson with an SEI Energy Advisor, and win prizes.
Congratulations Harmony Magnet Academy Environmental Sustainability Students for developing a campaign and implementing an energy reduction plan netting a 24.9% reduction in energy use for 2019. The prize for first place is $900.00, which students will use to benefit the HMA student body. (Results are posted here)
The students also received second place for their creativity and skill in developing a master campaign to make all HMA stakeholders aware of energy conservation a and it's benefits.
