P8 Coalition
The PUSD Broad-Based Coalition, also known as the "P8 Coalition," serves as a high-level Executive Advisory Council. The P8 Council was established in 2011 to ensure the sustainability and success of the District-wide Pathways System. Its mission is to inspire hope and cultivate the next generations of leaders within our community. The P8 Council convenes monthly during the school year and includes PUSD Superintendent and Cabinet members, elected Governing Board members, influential community leaders, esteemed industry partners, Pathway Advisory Board Chairs, and the Pathways Department staff.
Key contributions of the P8 Council include:
- Setting annual strategic goals for continuous Pathway improvement
- Facilitating the exchange of best practices across all Pathways
- Offering support to the 14 Pathway Advisory Boards to drive innovation and growth
The PUSD Broad-Based Coalition also adopted the "8 P's," a guiding framework that encapsulates the core mission and vision of this advisory group, as illustrated below.
